Book Report #2 Suit Up

 

Hay everyone now I will show you my experience about reading on ER Central

This time I read story entitled Adventure of Tom Thumb. And I will imagine if I’m is the character named Tom Thumb.

My name is Tom Thumb. My father was a woodcutter and we lived in a small cottage not far from a great forest. I have six brothers and I’m so smallest little fellow anyone had ever seen, but I’m smarter than any of my brothers.

One day we are shortage of food in the land. My father and my mother become so poor. One night my father sighed deeply to my mother and said we cannot feed our children any longer. Then my father wants to took us into the forest and leave us. But I was awake and I heard all the conversation.

In the morning my father calls me and my brothers and giving us piece of bread. But I did not say a word to my brothers about what I heard.

Then my father and my mother took us into the forest and leave us. My brothers were cry but I don’t. We try to back to home. Then we found a house and we knocked the door. Evidently that is a house of giant. It was the star of my adventure.

Reading Journal#6_Folklore

 

 Hay everyone welcomes to my blog, now I will show you my experience reading folklore story. 

I’ve read folklore story entitled “Nai Mnasi Moa Hitu”. This story comes from NTT.

The story tells about a man named Natui Noe with his twelve brothers, who agreed to find their own “Takaf” which will be given by “Uis Neno”.

In the middle of their journey Natui Noe managed to find his Takaf. Then his got magic power, his body turned into a giant and his body also changed shape into seven segments. Seven segments in the dawan Timor language is “Moa Hitu”.

Many things he did with his supernatural powers. One of them is to keep the sky away from the earth. Because it is said that at that time the sky and earth were close together.

When Moa Hitu died her body was cut and buried separately starting from head, body and feet.

This story was told from generation to generation until now.

I very like the story because the story is interesting. And I’m not bored to read the story.

I think folklore in general as entertainment but there are values that can be tekken.

Hay everyone, now I will show you my experience about reading on ER Central

 

I have read story entitled “Money doesn’t grow on trees” by Diane. I choose level 6.60 to read this story on ER Central. Number of words in this story is 529 words, and I read it in 4 minutes and 49 seconds.

I think matching emoji for story “Money doesn’t grow on trees” is thinking. Because in that story explain if money is not easy to get, money is not everything, how to use money properly, and thinking in managing money.

That’s why I choose ‘Thinking emoji’.

Reading Journal #4

Hay everyone, now I will show you about my experience reading on ER central.

 

I read story about horror and the title is “Zombie Attack”. I select level 5 to read on ER central.

I like the story because the story explain how to survive from zombie’s attack, like you must have a weapon, sufficient food, how to hide in a save place, and find a friend. Full of tension but fun to read.

I fell I can enjoy the story because, I can understand the storyline although there are some words which I don’t understand.

I think level 5 for reading in ER central still suitable for me. Because I still find words that I don’t understand but I can understand the storyline. So I have to reading a lot again in level 5.

Next time I will read about horror story with different titles.

 

Assignment#2_ I think, I don't think

Hello everyone, I have eight statement about reading.

·         Reading in my first language is fun

·         Reading English is difficult

·         I should usually look up new words in my dictionary

·         Reading English is boring

·         It is easier to read about sports than science

·         If I read very fast, it is hard to understand meaning

·         Reading out loud is a good idea

·         Reading English is fun

And now I will show my opinion about the statements

    I agree with the statement one, because my first language is Bahasa Indonesia so I can more understand the meaning and that make me enjoy what did I read. I think reading English is difficult because I also find some new words that I don’t understand and make me not enjoy what did I read. Sometimes I will look up that new words in my dictionary or google translate.

   Reading English is boring; I think that is not quite true because if I reading my favourite book like comics or story that I like it will not boring. I agree with the statement five because I like very much sport, more precisely is football.

    I think I agree with the statement six because if I reading quickly, I will not understand the sentence that I read. So, I more like read out loud and slowly. I think reading English is fun but I will more enjoy if what I read is my favorite.
